Can critical illness insurance be used for out-of-pocket costs?
Yes, you can use your benefit payment as you see fit. Use it to help cover your household bills, medical insurance deductibles, copayments, and more.
Are benefits paid directly to me or my healthcare provider?
Payments will be paid directly to you, not to the doctors, hospitals, or other healthcare providers. You will receive a check, payable to you, for maximum convenience.
Can I enroll in this insurance without having to take a medical exam?
You do not have to complete a medical exam, however, a pre-existing condition is not covered
unless the date of diagnosis for such condition is at least 12 months after the certificate effective date. A pre-existing condition means a condition for which a covered person received medical advice or treatment within the 12 months preceding the certificate effective date.
