What is Chubb Critical Illness insurance?

Do I have to complete a medical exam?

Chubb Critical Illness is guaranteed issue up to the policy maximum of $30,000 for members and 50% of member face amount for spouses and children.

Yes, with no lifetime maximum benefit, if you get sick again, you are still covered. Additional benefit include a Wellness Benefit of $50 per year.

Do I have to enroll during open enrollment or can I wait?

Eligible Members who choose not to enroll during their initial open enrollment period will not be eligible to enroll until the next qualified open enrollment period. Late enrollment is not allowed.

How do I file a claim for Chubb Critical Illness insurance?

To file a claim, you will need to submit the necessary documentation as outlined in your policy agreement and contact Chubb's Accident & Health Claims department.

How are benefits calculated?

Benefits are calculated based on a percentage of the face amount and varies by the covered condition. For instance, if a covered member is diagnose with a stroke, the member would receive 100% of the face amount of their policy.
